The HK prize is one of the most prestigious writing competitions in Asia and attracts entrants from around the world. The winning entries receive monetary rewards and the opportunity to participate in an awards ceremony. They can also use their prizes to promote their work and establish themselves in the industry. This year’s awards ceremony was held at the Venetian Macao on Friday night and saw a record number of submissions across all categories. The M&A Deal of the Year and Woman Lawyer of the Year were among the most competitive categories, with over 40 contenders in each. The finalists were selected by the jury, comprised of senior lawyers from local and international firms, in a rigorous assessment process.
In-house legal teams also received recognition this year, with Tencent Holdings winning the Hong Kong In-House Team of the Year award, and China International Capital Corporation (International) scooping the Investment Banking In-House Team of the Year award. FWD Group won the Insurance In-House Team of the Year award, while Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation took home the GBA In-House Team of the Year award.
HK Global Development Prize
HK Global Development Prize is organized by Generocity and is intended to gather innovative ideas on establishing an Official Development Assistance (ODA) program in Hong Kong. The aim is to support Hong Kong in promoting sustainable development and global development cooperation. The competition is open to residents of Southeast Asia, mainland China and the rest of the world. Applications can be submitted through the worldofwinners splash page starting March 1.
